Pilates is a conditioning system that improves muscle tone, balances musculature and builds flexibility. It emphasizes spinal alignment, breathing, developing a strong core or center, and improving coordination and balance. It supports correct posture, and teaches us to move with ease and grace. The Pilates system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. Body Chemistry Studio Pilates Reformer classes offer a spectrum of advancements appropriate for every body.
TheGYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a unique movement practice which has roots in Yoga, Tai Chi and dance. The GYROTONIC® training exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements which flow together seamlessly with rhythmic repetitions, and corresponding breath. The exercises allow the joints to move through an expansive range of motion without compression. The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® carefully crafts sequences to create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.
We use the Balanced Body Allegro 2® Reformers for our Group Classes. In our Private studio we have Balanced Body Studio Reformers, a Cadillac, Chairs, Pilates Springboards, CoreAlign and a GYROTONIC® Pulley Tower Combination Unit.
Beginners are welcome! All of our Mixed Level group classes are appropriate for beginners, and will include variations and modifications for all injury and pain free bodies. With a maximum of 9 students per class, our trainers will help you become familiar with the Reformer.
Those with injuries or pain may want to consider a brief series of Private Training Sessions prior to their first Group Reformer Class.

Wear comfortable clothing that will stay securely on your body (no loose shirts or shorts). Bare feet are welcome in our studio but you may also choose to wear socks with non-slip padding.
If you are working with an injury, under a doctor's supervision, in your post-rehabilitation phase of rehab, we do ask that you contact us in advance of signing up for a class so we can connect you with a Private Trainer for your first few sessions. Although our classes are designed to be accessible for everyone, it’s important to learn what’s appropriate for your unique body while staying with the pace of the class.
Joseph Pilates said "you'll feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 and have a whole new body in 30 sessions." Most of our clients have found this to be true and many start seeing results right away. More important, our clients feel better which keeps them coming back!
First create an online account in our online scheduling page, then email us either your original coupon or call/email us your name, contact information and coupon number.
We require a 12-hour notice in advance before cancellation of Group Classes and a 24-hour notice made directly to your trainer for Private Sessions. In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, a group class or private session is forfeited and deducted from your current package or membership. However, if you purchase a package or monthly membership providing unlimited Group Classes, a late cancellation or no-show will result in a late charge equivalent to a single group class charged to the credit card on file.
For your safety, we do not allow late entry into our Group Classes. Late arrivals, 5 minutes late past the start time of the the scheduled class, will not be admitted to class and will be charged as a no-show, hence forfeiting the full cost of the class.
